Daleel plans to drill a few exploration wells to further address Block-5 hydrocarbon potential. All the wells were drilled in the eastern side of block 5, the Bushra area. The 2007-2008 exploration campaign resulted in the discovery of both Natih & Upper Shuaiba accumulations. The Upper Shuaiba discovery was the first in the eastern of block 5, and provided a major boost in the area. More studies will be carried out for acquiring and evaluating data required to finalise the reserves assessment of the Daleel, Mezoon, Natih, Bushra and Shadi fields, as well as to evaluate and test the remaining scope for exploration in the west and east areas of Block-5.The re-interpretation of the merged 3D seismic of the concession has been included to evaluate exploration potential
