Environment Protection issues can no longer be treated separately, as it’s a corporate member of a society aiming for profitability, productivity, quality of products and service or an organization striving for pursuit of excellence, Environment plays a major role. We work towards having a well defined environmental protection policy to alleviate environmental pollution, damages and etc.

On the part of Environmental management performance and as a basis to ensure statutory compliance, Daleel management had taken very positive step to protect impact to the environment, in which, construction of additional evaporation ponds to store production water at the main gathering station was done and furthermore a water treatment plant had been commissioned by Engineering Department. This had contributed heavily towards preventing environment impact by treating the water coming from production system and recycles it via water injection system. Furthermore, the engineering is working to construct a waterline to pump production water from gathering station to “B” Block water treatment plant and recycle; this shall be additional milestone on managing the environment.

A mercury baseline survey study for block five was planned and conducted under the objectives of identifying the level of exposure to mercury within our operation sites. The result had presented a healthy and non risk exposure to our sites as the limits meets the national and international standards.

Commissioning of the LPG Gas Plant on April 2008, had heavily plus the positive milestone achieved by Daleel Petroleum to reduce flaring gas and polluting the environment. The project has streamline the focus of management towards strengthen its environmental Management system within Block five.
