The oil is gathered to the DPS via flowlines
and five satellite manifolds. The DPS has
facilities to separate the associated gas
and formation water from the crude oil. The
crude oil is then treated for true vapor
pressure and low salt content to meet the
specification set by PDO before it is
shipped to PDO pipeline network. The oil is
transferred through a 14-km of a buried
8-inch trunk line, which ties in to the
24-inch Lekhwair-Fahud oil pipeline. A LACT
unit facility is located at the tie-in
point. Crude oil is transported to PDO export
terminal at Mina Al Fahal in Muscat where
the shareholders of Daleel Petroleum send
their oil tankers for lifting the crude oil.
Production wells are equipped with
artificial lift ( ESP’s and / or beam pumps
) due to naturally declining associated gas
ratio and increasing water cut caused by the
waterflood project, artificial lift with.
All production and injection wells require
matrix stimulation by acid.
